Call for applications for Research Advisory Group (RAG) leads

Applications are invited from individuals with a track record in research leadership to direct the new RAG activities across discovery science, clinical and applied research in the fields of

  • inflammatory arthritis
  • autoimmune rheumatic disease
  • musculoskeletal disorders.

Posts are formally available from autumn 2017 and appointments are for a three-year term in the first instance. These posts are associated with an appropriate monetary allowance.

Individuals who are interested in applying for one of these posts are encouraged to contact Dr Sarah Rudkin, head of clinical studies and experimental medicine with any queries via  Potential applicants are also welcome to obtain further information from existing Clinical Studies Groups (CSG) Leads.

How to apply

Applicants should submit a brief CV giving details of previous key posts, current post, roles in relevant committees and six most relevant publications. This should be accompanied by a written statement (maximum 1,000 words) which covers relevant previous experiences and expertise and outlines how the applicant will develop the work of the RAG.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview in London, on Thursday 14th September or Monday 25th September 2017. Notification of invite to interview will be given w/c August 21st.

Successful applicants will be invited to join a combined meeting with the outgoing CSG leads in October 2017.
