Dr Myles LewisCongratulations to Dr Myles Lewis, Arthritis Research UK Clinician Scientist Fellow, who won the Young Investigator prize at the Academy of Medical Sciences 2015 Spring Meeting which this year took place on Thursday 26 February 2015.

The annual Spring Meeting is an annual event designed to bring clinical academic trainees together to present their work, meet one another and network with senior scientists. This year over 200 attendees from across the UK came to network and share their research findings.

This year Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal attended the Spring meeting. She met a few groups of attendees and visited poster displays before formally opening the oral plenary competition.

Dr Lewis was awarded the Young Investigator prize for his abstract entitled “Effect of UBE2L3 genotype on regulation of the linear ubiquitin chain assembly complex in systemic lupus erythematosus”. This abstract, as well as all the others from the meeting, can be found in a special edition of The Lancet.
