Ultrasound: knee effusion and synovitis

Real-time dorsal longitudinal view of the suprapatellar compartment of the knee joint. There is a large synovial pannus surrounded by anechoic knee effusion. As the probe pressure is increased and decreased the effusion is displaced and the synovial pannus moves within the effusion.
