Component of examination  Findings
Musculoskeletal screening examination, e.g. GALS screen Gait: walks slowly, antalgic gait
Arms: able to put arms behind head and behind back, stiff but not painful
Legs: generally tender over hip and thigh muscles; normal range of movement in knees and hips
Spine: some pain and loss of range of flexion of lumbar spine
MCPJ/MTPJ squeeze  Not painful, no joint swelling
Examine for finger/toenail abnormalities, skin rashes, psoriasis, alopecia, petechiae 

No rashes or nail change

Examine any other symptoms identified in history

Palpate for lymphadenopathy, take temperature  No lymphadenopathy
