Edinburgh Marathon
This fast and flat course takes in some of Edinburgh’s most spectacular landmarks before winding along the beautiful East Lothian coastline. Combine this with an overall drop of 50m and its easy to see why this route is a favourite amongst marathon runners.
How do I join Team A?
I would like a charity place
To join Arthritis Research UK’s very own Team A, simply click on the 'join Team A' button below and select 'I would like a guaranteed charity place' then complete our quick online registration form.
Each of our charity places has a £25 registration fee and a £500 minimum sponsorship target. Once you have completed this form, one of the Events Team will be in touch to finalise your registration.
I have my own place
Congratulations on securing you own place, and thank you so much for choosing to support Arthritis Research UK.
To join Team A, simply click on the 'join Team A' button below and select 'I already have a place'. Once you have completed the short registration form, one of the events team will be in touch to officially welcome you to the team. As you have secured you own place, there will be no minimum sponsorship requirement. We just ask that you set your own target, and that you raise as much as you can.
What do I get?
All our Team A Runners receive:
an official welcome pack, including our Guide to Fundraising with tips and advice to help raise vital funds for Arthritis Research UK
top training, nutritional and health advice to make sure you’re ready for the big day
an official Arthritis Research UK orange running vest to wear on the big day with letters to spell out your name
support from the Arthritis Research UK events team before, during and after your challenge
access to our Team A Facebook group where you can share training tips and fundraising advice with your team mates before the big day
What else do I need to know?
You must:
be 18 years or older to take part in this event
be able to complete this event in 6.5 hours
You will:
receive a wicking technical finishers t-shirt, accurate chip timing, training plan and a medal
You can’t:
transfer your charity place from one event to another
give your place to someone else if you are unable to take part
