Great Manchester Run 10k

Great Manchester Run LogoJoin Team A for Europe's biggest 10k event in the heart of Manchester. This fast, flat course takes in some of the city's most famous landmarks, passing Old Trafford, the award-winning Imperial War Museum and The Lowry, before finishing on Deansgate.

If you're really feeling up to the challenge you can even go one step further and take on the half marathon.

Whichever distance you choose, you can join Arthritis Research UK’s very own Team A by first securing your place from the Great Manchester Run website ( Once you have done this, simply click on the 'Join Team A' button below and complete our short online registration form.

Once this is completed one of the Events Team will be in touch to officially welcome you to the team and get you started.

Team A Runners get:

  • an official welcome pack, including our Guide to Fundraising with tips and advice to help raise vital funds for Arthritis Research UK
  • top training, nutritional and health advice to make sure you’re ready for the big day
  • an official Arthritis Research UK orange running vest to wear on the big day with letters to spell out your name
  • support from the Arthritis Research UK events team before, during and after your challenge
  • access to our Team A Facebook group where you can share training tips and fundraising advice with your team mates before the big day

What else do I need to know?

You must:

  • be 15 years or older to take part in this event
  • be able to complete this event in 1hr 45min

You will:

  • receive a finisher’s pack that will contain a medal, t-shirt and space blanket
  • receive a race pack, timing chip and race number
