Summary

We are looking for a Communications Executive to join our communications team which is at the heart of delivering change for people with arthritis. We lead on creating exciting and engaging integrated communications campaigns aimed at people with arthritis. We are also responsible for building and protecting the recently merged organisation’s reputation as well as supporting teams across the organisation on their communications activity. We are also responsible for running our well-respected press office as well our high-profile social media channels.

As part of our ambitious and committed charity you will play a role in achieving our aims to improve the lives of the over 10 million people in the UK living with arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.

About the role

The communications executive works with the wider team to communicate the significance of arthritis and the relevance of our charity. You will play an active role on the press office and on our social media channels, responding to queries and developing creative content to secure high quality proactive and reactive media coverage. You will also work closely with the communications campaign managers, social media manager and communications officers to deliver targeted communications plans.

Key requirements

We are looking for:

  • An enthusiastic, confident and flexible communications professional and team player who is hungry to take a lead on projects
  • Someone with strong public relations and social media experience, with demonstrable success in delivering national, regional and trade media coverage
  • Experience of confidently adapting a response or story for different channels i.e. online, broadcast, print, social and digital
