Our volunteers play a vital role in raising funds for Arthritis Research UK and raising awareness about the pain and misery posed by arthritis. We know we simply could not operate without them.
Volunteering is a great way to develop and share your skills, meet new people and work with a team that is passionate about making a difference.
Give your time (even if it’s just a little)
Help at an event
We have a range of events that take place across the UK. You could help play a vital role in making these events happen in your local area. Help us cheer on our runners, marshal an event, or help to collect those all important funds at your local supermarket.
Organise your own event
We rely totally on your generous support as we receive no government funding. Organising your own fundraising activity can be fun, and it really helps to make a difference. Organise a walk, a run, a pub quiz, live music or a ball.
Whatever you decide to do, we’ll be on hand to support you every step of the way. To discuss volunteer opportunities and how you would like to help, please contact our Community Fundraising Officer Glenys Schofield on 01246 541103 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Help in the office
Our office based teams in London and Chesterfield offer a range of volunteering opportunities and particularly welcome volunteers who can offer administrative support during normal working hours, 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. If you would like to find out more please contact our HR Officer Becky Carley at email@example.com.
Our shop staff are always looking for volunteers to help them prepare and display donated stock so it’s ready for sale, help customers and promote the charity’s work. If you can spare a minimum of three hours a week and would like to volunteer at your local shop we would love to hear from you.
Please contact our Retail Coordinator Andrea Samuels at firstname.lastname@example.org.
