Involving people with arthritis

Patient insight partner at the pain workshop

"It is important that those who donate see their money used appropriately to forward the aims of the charity to the benefit of everybody affected by arthritis."David Chandler, patient insight partner

Our strategic focus is to put people with arthritis at the centre of everything we do as an organisation, and research is leading the way. We live by the principles that patient involvement activities should be purpose-driven and conducted in a meaningful and non-tokenistic way. Our approach to research involvement ensures that everything we do is valuable to our researchers, the charity, and above all, to people with arthritis.

We have made a commitment to embed meaningful patient and public involvement into all our research activities, not just at the stage of making funding decisions, but across the research cycle. Alongside this, we offer support and training to our researchers to guide them to involve people with arthritis in their work.
