South Coast Challenge – 100km Challenge

Walkers celebrating on a clifftopHeading out of Eastbourne and on the South Downs Way. This route is simply stunning and seeing it through day and night is a must.

You can walk, jog or even run this route.

Take on this incredible challenge in 24hrs or split it into the two day challenge covering 50km each day!

How do I join Team A?

You can join Arthritis Research UK’s very own Team A by clicking on the ‘Join Team A’ button below, completing the online registration and selecting Arthritis Research UK as your chosen charity.

What do I get?

All our Team A challengers receive:

  • an official welcome pack, including our Guide to Fundraising with tips and advice to help raise vital funds for Arthritis Research UK, sponsorship forms and posters to help promote your fundraising
  • top training, nutritional and health advice to make sure you’re ready for the big day
  • an official Arthritis Research UK orange top to wear on the big day
  • support from the Arthritis Research UK events team before, during and after your challenge

What else do I need to know?

You must:

  • be 16 years old to take part in this event
  • select your pace type when registering, either walker, jogger or runner
  • finish within 20-30hrs if you’re a walker
  • finish within 15-20hrs if you’re a jogger
  • finish within 9-14hrs if you’re a runner
  • pay your registration fee (£70) directly to Action Challenge and select Arthritis Research UK as your chosen charity
  • commit to raising a minimum sponsorship target of £395
  • have 50% of your fundraising target in 6 weeks prior to the event date(14 July 2017)
  • find your own accommodation if taking on the two day 100km challenge

You can:

  • complete this 100km challenge over 2days (you must finish within 10-16hrs daily for walkers, 7-10hrs daily for joggers and 4-8hrs daily for runners)
  • enter as an individual
  • enter as a team
  • join an existing team
