Jurassic Coast Challenge - 100km Challenge

Durdle Door Jurassic CoastStarting at Poole Harbour near Sandbanks you will make your way through Brenscombe heading towards the half way point in Weymouth passing the Jurassic Coast landmarks Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.

You will then head off from Weymouth passing Portland Bill and the unique Chesil Beach to West Bays famous sandstone cliffs made famous in TV series Broadchurch.

This challenge can be non-stop or you can take on the 2-day option with overnight camping.

Most people will walk this challenge, some will jog and a few will run.

How do I join Team A?

You can join Arthritis Research UK’s very own Team A by clicking on the Join Team A button below, completing the registration form and selecting Arthritis Research UK as your chosen charity.

When you select Arthritis Research UK on the registration from, Action Challenge will notify us and then the events team will be in touch to welcome you to the team.

What do I get?

  • an official welcome pack, including our Guide to Fundraising with tips and advice to help raise vital funds for Arthritis Research UK, sponsorship forms and posters to help promote your fundraising
  • top training, nutritional and health advice to make sure you’re ready for the big day
  • an official Arthritis Research UK orange t-shirt to wear on the big day
  • support from the Arthritis Research UK events team before, during and after your challenge
  • access to our Action Challenge Facebook group where you can share training tips and fundraising advice with your team mates before the big day


What else do I need to know?

You must:

  • be 18 years old to take part in this event
  • select your pace type when registering, either walker, jogger or runner
  • finish within 20-34hrs if you’re a walker
  • finish within 17-20hrs if you’re a jogger
  • finish within 9-16hrs if you’re a runner
  • pay your registration fee (£80) directly to Action Challenge and select Arthritis Research UK as your chosen charity
  • commit to raising a minimum sponsorship target of £425 have 50% of your fundraising target in 6 weeks prior to the event date (8 June 2018)

You can:

  • complete this 100km challenge over 2days (you must finish within 10-17hrs daily for walkers, 7-10hrs daily for joggers and 4-8hrs daily for runners
  • self-fund this challenge by paying £185 directly to Action Challenge and then raise as much as possible for Arthritis Research UK
  • enter as an individual
  • enter as a team
  • join an existing team
