Swim Serpentine 2017

Open water swimmer in orange swimming hat Back after its inaugural year, the 2017 Swim Serpentine is set to be bigger and better. This year you can choose from a one mile, two mile or a 1/2 mile open water swim in the heart of London is not to be missed.

Following on from the Olympic legacy, Hyde Park will host this swimming festival weekend at the UK's oldest swimming club, the Serpentine Lido.

How do I join Team A?

Thank you for choosing to support Arthritis Research UK with your own place at the 2017 Swim Serpentine, we're really excited to have you on Team A.

Simply click the Join Team A button below, complete our quick online registration form then one of the Events Team will be in touch with you to welcome you to the team!

If you are yet to secure your own place, simply visit www.swimserpentine.co.uk and apply for a place. Once you have your place, complete our online registration form above to join Team A.

Please note, the two mile and 1/2 mile challenge regsitrations will open in late January 2017.

What do I get?

What else do I need to know?

You must:

  • be 16 years of age to take part in the one mile or two mile challenge
  • be 12 years of age to take part in the 1/2 mile challenge
  • adhere to the organisers rules and regulations for this event
  • wear either a wetsuit and/or a tow float on the day of the event (these will be available to hire on the day)
Securing your own place:
  • you must secure your own place in this challenge to take part
  • the public registration fee is for the one mile challenge is £39
  • the registration for the 1/2 mile and 2 mile challenges will open late January 2017
  • secure your own place and set your own fundraising target
  • you can enter the public ballot on the Swim Serpentine website (www.swimserpentine.co.uk)
