Brighton Marathon

Team A runnersKnown for its electric atmosphere and roaring crowd support, the Brighton Marathon has earned its stripes. The 26.2 mile course winds through the city streets, finishing up on the spectacular Brighton seafront where you will be greeted by friends and family in the charity village.

How do I join Team A?

Entries for the Brighton Marathon 2017 have now closed. If you have already secured your own place you can still join Team A by following the instructions below. If you have missed out on a place for this years event, don't worry as entries for the 2018 Brighton Marathon will be opening soon.

I have my own place

If you already have your own place and would like to register to be on Team A, simply click on the join Team A button below, select 'I already have a place'. Then complete our short online registration form and you will have no minimum sponsorship target. Once this is completed one of the events team will be in touch to officially welcome you to the team and get you started.

What do I get?

All our Team A runners receive:

  • an official welcome pack, including our Guide to Fundraising with tips and advice to help raise vital funds for Arthritis Research UK, sponsorship forms and posters to help promote your fundraising
  • top training, nutritional and health advice to make sure you’re ready for the big day
  • an official Arthritis Research UK orange running vests to wear on the big day with letters to spell out your name
  • support from the Arthritis Research UK events team before, during and after your challenge
  • dedicated Team A cheer points on the day around the route
  • access to our Facebook group where you can share training tips and fundraising advice

What else do I need to know?

You must:

  • be 18 years old to take part in this event
  • ensure that you are fit enough to take part in a marathon, previous marathon or half marathon experience is advised
  • collect your race pack at the Brighton Marathon Exhibition at the Brighton Centre between Friday April 7th and Saturday April 8th.
  • expo opening times are:
    • Friday 7th April 2017 11am - 7pm
    • Saturday 8th April 2017 10am - 6pm

You can:

  • defer your place if you are unable to take part due to sickness or injury
  • buy exclusive Brighton marathon merchandise via the website

You can’t:

  • get your registration refunded if you are unable to take part
  • gift or sell you place to another runner, if you are caught doing this your entry will be deleted and you will not be allowed to enter Brighton Marathon in the future.
  • use an iPod, mp3 or other similar music device when taking part in the race due to health and safety regulations
