Run the Bournemouth Marathon Festival group of runners cheeringBeautiful coastal views, a chance to run the Boscombe and Bournemouth Piers, and a spectacular sea front finish make Bournemouth Marathon a must for any runner. Join Team A in 2018 and be part of this amazing event!

How do I join Team A?

You can join Arthritis Research UK’s very own Team A by first securing your place from the Bournemouth Marathon Festival website ( When purchasing your place, be sure to select Arthritis Research UK as the charity you want to run for.

Once you have done this, simply click on the 'Join Team A' button below and complete our short online registration form.

Join Team A 

Once this is completed one of the Events Team will be in touch to officially welcome you to the team and get you started.

What do I get?

All our Team A Runners receive:

  • an official welcome pack, including our Guide to Fundraising with tips and advice to help raise vital funds for Arthritis Research UK
  • top training, nutritional and health advice to make sure you’re ready for the big day
  • an official Arthritis Research UK orange running vest to wear on the big day with letters to spell out your name
  • support from the Arthritis Research UK events team before, during and after your challenge
  • access to our Team A Facebook group where you can share training tips and fundraising advice with your team mates before the big day

What else do I need to know?

You must:

  • be over 18 years old to take part in this event
  • be able to complete this event within 6hrs and 30 minutes
You will:
  • receive a Wicking technical finishers t-shirt, accurate chip timing, training plan and a medal

You can’t:

  • give your place to someone else if you are unable to take part
  • defer your entry if you are unable to take part
  • transfer your place from one event to another
