Bournemouth Supernova 5k

Runner taking part in the Speed of Light 5kSuitable for all ages and abilities the Bournemouth Supernova 5k is the perfect way to get involved in the Bournemouth Marathon Festival with your family and friends, whilst taking in the atmosphere and fun. Starting at dusk on Bournemouth Prom and finishing near the Festival Hub in the Lower Gardens, this beautiful coastal route takes in the Bournemouth Pier. Grab everything and anything that glows or flashes, then set off on a Supernova 5K!

How do I join Team A?

You can join Arthritis Research UK’s very own Team A by clicking on the 'Join Team A' button below, select 'I already have a place' then complete our short online registration form.

Join Team A 

Once this is completed one of the Events Team will be in touch to officially welcome you to the team and get you started. 

If you've not already secured your own place but would like to then visit Bournemouth Marathon Festival website ( where you can purchase your place.

When purchasing your place, be sure to select Arthritis Research UK as the charity you want to run for.

What do I get?

All our Team A Runners receive:

  • an official welcome pack, including our Guide to Fundraising with tips and advice to help raise vital funds for Arthritis Research UK, sponsorship forms and posters to help promote your fundraising
  • top training, nutritional and health advice to make sure you’re ready for the big day
  • an official Arthritis Research UK orange running vest to wear on the big day
  • support from the Arthritis Research UK events team before, during and after your challenge
  • access to our Team A Facebook group where you can share training tips and fundraising advice with your team mates before the big day

What else do I need to know?

You must:
  • be over 11 years old to take part in this event
  • be able to complete this event within an hour
You will:
  • receive a wicking technical finishers t-shirt, accurate chip timing, training plan and a medal

You can’t:

  • transfer your place from one event to another
  • give your place to someone else if you are unable to take part
  • defer your entry if you are unable to take part
