Where can I get artrosilium?

Q) I've recently read an article about artrosilium and its success for the treatment of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis in terms of its analgesic effects. Artrosilium contains organic silica plus blackcurrant and meadowsweet and is produced as a gel. I wonder if you can help me with getting access to it?
Patricia Lovelock, Liberton, Edinburgh (Summer 2006)

A) I know of no scientific studies evaluating the effects of atrosilium and can't therefore recommend it. You have indicated the contents of the gel, all of which are thought to have ‘natural’ anti-arthritic properties. You can learn more about the preparation from the website of the UK manufacturer,, where details on obtaining the gel are available.

Editor's note: Since this Q&A was featured, artrosilium's website has been altered. It now states that artrosilium isn't available to buy in the UK.
