Our pledge to raise awareness of physical activity

The UK Chief Medical Officers have issued the Start Active, Stay Active report (PDF, 1.34 MB) about physical activity.

The report draws on evidence for the health benefits of being physically active and outlines guidance for different age ranges:

Arthritis Research UK has signed up to the pledge to raise awareness of the physical activity guidelines as part of the Department of Health's Responsibility Deal. This is a voluntary way of working with Government, other charities and industry about improving the nation’s public health.
