Research and new developments for palindromic rheumatism

There has been little research into palindromic rheumatism up to now because it’s rare and sometimes not diagnosed early. However, new techniques in genetics and imaging have proved very effective in understanding other forms of inflammatory arthritis. Some of these studies may also be relevant to palindromic rheumatism and lead to better treatments.

In 2013 Arthritis Research UK conducted a survey of people with palindromic rheumatism to gather more information about their experiences – you can download the Summary Report (PDF 326KB).
