Dr Sylvie Jackson

Dr Sylvie Jackson has recently retired from the Centre for Defence Management and Leadership at Cranfield University's School of Defence and Security, where she was a senior lecturer. Her research interests are in strategic, change and performance management. She developed severe rheumatoid arthritis in 1993 and was diagnosed with secondary osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia in 2008.

She joined Cranfield University in 1999 after a lengthy career in the Post Office and a couple of years of freelance consulting work. In her Post Office career, Sylvie had a wide range of jobs, including counter clerk, instructor, sales representative, customer care manager, and total quality manager with Royal Mail. Sylvie's final role was as the quality and business process director for Post Office Corporate Purchasing and Logistics Services.

She has a postgraduate diploma in management studies, postgraduate diploma in marketing, a MBA and a PhD in transformational change management. She has spoken at numerous conferences and has publications in books and journals.
